Believe it or not, this is the "encoder" of the Kenwood TS-2000. This is the part behind the Multi/Ch knob. In my case it had to be replaced as it was acting funning. It was going down in frequency memories or on the VFO when turned clockwise. It should have gone up. This is a common problem for the TS-2000 and many hams replace this part themselves. It was expensive to ship, repair and ship back. A $10 piece of equipment cost me over $100 to replace. Photo taken on Tue, January 25, 2011
