In this photo you see my Antron RS-20A power supply next to my Power Werx SS30DV Switching Power Supply. Both sit on the floor beneath my desk. I put them on using my feet. Switching power supplies like the SS30DV great. They put out as much power as the older power supplies, but are must smaller and lighter.
