Here before you is my "field day" equipment. It's the reason I purchased the Yaesu 857D, to operate outside the confines of an apartment. I also wanted to try my hand at field/portable station operation. The items in the photo are (bottom left to right) my Yaesu FT-857D, Yaesu FT-857D power cable and RG-59 Coax Cable with a small spool of speaker (counterpoise) wire. Next at the top from left to right are: my High Sierra Jaws mount, UB12220 AGM Gel Cell 22AH Battery, MFJ 901B Portable Antenna Tuner, 2 extra 6 inch RG-69 Coax Cable.
