A close up of my Comet GP-6 dual band VHF/UHF antenna for 2 meter and 70cm. The antenna is being held in place with two C-Clamps attached to the roof wall hood protector. The mast is about 10 times heavier than the antenna as it is made of solid metal and the antenna itself is just a long piece of wire in a plastic tube. The masts' weight helps keep the antenna from moving in the wind. Photo taken on Tue, May 24, 2011
