I took my Radio Go Box outside for testing. First thing I learned right off was that carrying the batteries inside the box made the go box to heavy to carry. It could be done, but with much effort. Depending on the distance, I may have to carry the batteries in a back pack to make carrying the Pelican 1440NF case easier. Then I can insert the batteries in their compartment within the Pelican case upon arrival to my destination.

As you can see the batteries are outside the case.

Second thing I learned is that the case lid gets in the way. It does not fold back on itself so it is always in the way. This means that using the Pelican Case has to be in going to be more difficult than I imagined. I may need to remove the lid when at my destination. I will also need a table on which to put the case (in a horizontal position). Photo taken on Sun, April 07, 2013
