This is an inside look at my MFJ-259c with its back cover removed. Here you see the battery pack which holds 10 AA batteries. The bottom left of the green circuit board reveals a charger jumper which must be set to 'on' or 'off'. The default is set to off. If I ever buy re-chargeable batteries and the charging plug, I'd have to move that jumper one pin to the left. Photo taken on Fri, January 02, 2015
