Here I am under a construct scaffolding keeping dry from the rain, for the most part. I was very disappointed with how this event turned out. I firmly believe that if an Amateur Radio operator is going to lug his or her equipment to a location to provide radio communications 1. Organizers should know he/she is going to be there as oppose to having to explain who you are and why you are thee. And 2. I expect that given that we use expensive mobile equipment that we be provided a table and chair. We should not have to sit on a dirty city street for the honor of providing communications. Other hams have told me that I have to 'adapt' and 'rough it'. The hell with that. I have expensive equipment and I am providing a service free! I find it highly disrespectful that I should have to sit on a sidewalk. Photo taken on Sun, May 01, 2016
